Search in Quenya Samples

Look for a sequence of English words in the sample texts. After entering the words, hit “Enter” or click the Search button on the right.

You can look for multiple sequences at once; sepearate them with a comma. A hyphenated search word A-B will match “A B”, “A-B”, and “AB” in the sample texts. A hyphenated word “A-B” in the text will also match a search word AB. Upper/lower case differences, any apostrophe within a word, and punctuation between words in a sequence are ignored for the search.

An asterisk ‘*’ after a word expands the search to its possible inflected forms; an exclamation mark ‘!’ instead expands it to its known synonyms.

Find words:

Caveat: The search only looks for exact word matches, not partial words or other inflected forms of the same root word. The search only covers the primary translation texts (normally English); to search the alternative translations, see this link instead.
