【3】 “Maro Ambaressë patatyë permenna tallë?” equë Amil Falliantë yondoryan. “Illumë möa tyen pata téravë ener, ó piretyar ricinë ara.”

                     

► "Why in the world do you walk sideways like that?" said a Mother Crab to her son. "You should always walk straight forward with your toes turned out."

【4】 “Á tana nin yallë pata, emya,” hanquentë i vinya Falliantë canwahimya, “Merin parë.”

                

► "Show me how to walk, mother dear," answered the little Crab obediently, "I want to learn."

【5】 Epetai i enwina Falliantë rincë an rincë pata téravë ompa. Mal polles pata rië permenna, ve yondorya. Ar yá néves ricë pireryar ara, loipantes ar lanantes nengwiryanna.

                               

► So the old Crab tried and tried to walk straight forward. But she could walk sideways only, like her son. And when she wanted to turn her toes out she tripped and fell on her nose.
