Quettali is primarily a Quenya noun decliner and verb conjugator. It is a work in progress with many rough edges.
The main page (see link in the top left corner) gives you access to indexes of words, from Quenya and from English, and to a number of special pages like the calendar names. When you click on one of the Quenya words in an index, it will take you to the full paradigm (table of inflected forms) for that word. Some words types, like nouns, have a lot of forms; others, like adverbs, just have a single one. The Quenya words are shown both in romanized form (our alphabet) and in tengwar (the elvish script).
There are a few sample texts on this site, which you can look at to get a better idea of what a whole piece of Quenya text looks like, instead of just single words. Unfortunately, the number of texts is still very limited. You can search directly for a word in the sample text collection, or use the “Find in sample texts” link at the bottom of most inflection table pages which also looks for the inflected forms.
Quenya nouns are declined for number and case, like in many other languages. However, they can also take a pronominal possessive suffix between the base and the number/case endings. To see the effect of that, look at the links at the bottom of the page for that noun, under “Combine with”.
Quenya verbs are conjugated for person, number and tense, like in many other languages. The participles and gerund can be declined like nouns, and take case endings; to get the full declensions, look at the links at the bottom of the page for that verb, under the heading “Extended paradigms”; you will have to click on the little triangle to the left of “⌘ More forms” first to unfold this.
The focus of this web is Classical Quenya, as written by Tolkien. Later vocabulary, added by fans, is called Neo-Quenya (NQ); on this site, such words and translations are marked with a “⚒” sign.

On the word indexes, you will only find words that this site knows about. However, it can also try to generate a table of forms for a word that it does not know about yet, if you tell it how to spell the word, and maybe some other details.
To see the declension of the noun foo,
if you running quettali locally, use the URL

To provide or force a translation using the English word
bar, append
“&trans=bar”
to the URL; to force a particular declension model goo, append
“&like=goo”.
If you are using quettali from a different domain, e.g. ungwe.net,

to see a conjugation of verb foo, or

to see the degrees of comparison for an adjective foo.
Only nouns, verbs and adjectives have interesting paradigm pages now.
From the fonts page you can click on the "TEXT" link in a font sample to see the sample texts in that fonts. You can also manually force a font change by appending an extra “tfont=fontname” parameter to a URL.
Quettali can run as a local tool on pretty much any platform that has Python3 installed. For local use, there are multiple options to tweak the appearance and output. It can also run as a command-line utility with a number of features not accessible through the web interface.
